With us, you can work in elderly care with older people and within LSS with individuals with disabilities. It is important that you are supportive, empathetic, and patient. In your work, you will provide practical and guiding assistance with personal care, meals, cleaning, laundry, shopping, and other errands, as well as document and report changes in health status.

Brief information about our operations

Special housing: The municipality has 7 special housing facilities for the elderly, located in Lidhult, Lagan, and centrally in Ljungby.

Home care: Our municipality has 8 home care groups based in both central Ljungby and surrounding areas.

Night patrol: The night patrol operates throughout the municipality, providing services and responding to alarms during the night.

Personal assistance: Working as a personal assistant means being someone's extended arm. Here, we help individuals with disabilities live and do things like everyone else.

LSS and psychiatric housing: Our LSS and psychiatric housing consists of group homes and service apartments specifically adapted for individuals who, for physical or mental reasons, need care, support, and services. We also have short-term accommodations for both children and adults, which serve as relief for relatives and as a change of environment for those in need of support.

Daily activities: Here, care recipients receive meaningful engagement and a job to go to. In daily activities, you help care recipients perform tasks and meet their needs throughout the day.

QUALIFICATIONS

We prefer that applicants have a driver's license, but it is not a requirement. You must be at least 18 years old to start working with us, as this is necessary to perform delegated tasks. Previous experience in care and support is advantageous. To be considered for summer employment, you should be available to work between weeks 25-29, weeks 30-34, or the entire summer.
