The surgical and gastroenterology department at Skåne University Hospital includes surgical and gastroenterological activities in Malmö and Lund, as well as surgical activities in Landskrona. We provide specialized and highly specialized care.

Surgical Department 9 in Malmö is an elective department that cares for patients undergoing surgical procedures in the intestines. The department has 20 beds, and we work in teams with doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, and the rehabilitation team.

We strive to work evidence-based and with person-centered care. The staff actively work in various groups to develop and drive the operations forward.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse, you will work with preoperative preparations and postoperative care of patients who have undergone colorectal surgery. Stoma care is an important part of the treatment. You will also work with advanced pain relief and be responsible for medical treatment. Those working in the pain area come several times a week to follow up on pain management. The ERACS standard care plan is applied for safe and good care of our patients, facilitating the development of your clinical insight and documentation.

We offer a solid introduction program that we regularly follow up on to make you feel confident when you start working independently with your patients. In addition, we have internal lectures within the business that we plan together with our employees. You have the opportunity to plan your schedule yourself as we use TimeCare so that you can (if you are a newly graduated nurse) plan the clinical base year from the beginning.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a positive and attentive nurse. Your work is characterized by a high sense of responsibility and your flexibility. Furthermore, we wish for you to be structured, reliable, and meticulous. You see challenges as opportunities, enjoy collaborating, and always consider the patient's best interests.

Regarding formal qualifications, you are a licensed nurse with the authorization to work in Swedish healthcare. Language proficiency in Swedish at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale is a requirement.
