Job Description

We are looking for a specialist doctor/consultant full- or part-time in ophthalmology for the eye clinic.

The activities are mainly focused on medical eye care in outpatient care with emergency services only during daytime. We receive approximately 28,000 visits per year, with a focus on major common diseases such as age-related macular degeneration, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy. We also receive consultation patients from the wards at Södersjukhuset and Sachsska children's hospital. Intravitreal treatment is a significant part of the activities.

Today, the eye clinic consists of approximately 31 employees, including 8 doctors, the majority of whom are experienced consultants with broad expertise in medical eye care. The position includes involvement in the clinic's internal training and teaching of medical students and resident doctors. There are good opportunities to combine clinical work with your own research. The eye clinic is part of the Specialist Care business area.

Type of Employment:

Permanent employment. Full- or part-time. Entry by agreement. Daytime, no nights or weekends.

Qualifications

We are looking for an eye specialist who enjoys working at a fast pace and has an interest in working broadly within medical eye care.

As a person, you have good collaboration skills, are flexible, and committed to your work. You are fluent in the Swedish language, both verbally and in writing.
