About Us
At the heart department, HIA, we provide both acute and planned care for patients with various heart diseases such as heart attack, heart failure, and different arrhythmias. The department consists of 17 inpatient beds and 6 places for day care divided into 4 care teams.
As a nurse in the department, you are offered a varied, developing, and above all, enjoyable work.

We work as a team of nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, and physiotherapists with the goal of being able to offer safe and secure care to our patients. It is important for us to have a good team spirit and clear communication for a functioning work environment.

Here, there are nurses who partly work in the angio lab, where coronary angiography is performed, or rotate towards the device operation that includes various pacemaker surgeries. We have heart nurses working in the cardiology nurse reception where follow-up of various heart diseases takes place. Due to our broad operations with many different work areas, you are given the opportunity for personal development leading to a broad competence in heart care.

The department has 2 ward leaders who, among other things, are responsible for supervising less experienced nurses and working with quality development. We also have the equivalent, KU (quality responsible nursing assistant), who supports and educates nursing assistants.

As a new employee, you are offered individual training tailored to your skills and previous experience, as well as support from ward leaders. Individual development based on your own areas of interest is encouraged, and as an employee, you are given the opportunity to be involved in driving both large and small change and improvement projects.

Your Responsibilities
As a nurse in the heart department, you are responsible for planning and implementing the patient's care needs throughout the care process and planning for future discharge. The work is varied, and the work pace can change quickly during the shift.

Your Qualifications
You are a licensed nurse. We are looking for someone who is responsible, interested in acute heart care, enjoys working at a fast pace, and is passionate about caring for severely ill patients. You should have good teamwork and commitment as well as a person-centered approach. Experience in heart care is a merit. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

Type of Employment
Permanent employment with entry by agreement.
The employment involves working shifts during the day, evening, and night. Work two weekends out of five.
