About Us

Sörmland's ambulance service is top-notch within Swedish ambulance care, and we are constantly developing new solutions for better care and working conditions. We strive for good accessibility and high preparedness around the clock and work with the latest technology in communication and technical equipment. Region Sörmland operates its own alarm center in collaboration with the Regions of Uppsala and Västmanland. In Region Sörmland, the alarm center belongs to the ambulance organization.

Your Responsibilities

Working as an ambulance caregiver, together in a team with a nurse or specialist nurse. Together, you assess, treat, and transport patients to the appropriate level of care.

Your Competence

We are looking for driven, positive nursing assistants with further education in ambulance care or with many years of real competence in the profession. Documented experience of at least 1 year in emergency ambulance service and emergency driving authorization is required to work in the ambulance. By the summer of 2025, there may be other types of resources where you as a newly graduated ambulance caregiver could be relevant. You should be proactive, solution-focused, and passionate about meeting the patient where they are.

We place great importance on personal qualities such as clear communication, stability, and the ability to build trust.

The tasks require you to master the Swedish language fully in both speech and writing and have good knowledge of English. Multilingualism is an asset. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Employment Requirements

Good physical condition is required as heavy lifting often occurs in the job. The employment process includes physical tests in the form of carrying tests, endurance, and strength, as well as a written certificate of swimming ability for 200 meters. You should have good driving experience and a class B driver's license for at least 3 years. A class C/C1 driver's license is required.

Employment Type

Seasonal temporary employment with start date according to agreement. Day, night, and weekend shifts are included.
