About Us

Sörmland's ambulance care is top-notch within Swedish ambulance care, and we are constantly developing new solutions for better care and working conditions. We strive for good accessibility and high readiness around the clock and work with the latest technology in communication and technical equipment. Region Sörmland operates the emergency center in collaboration with the Regions of Uppsala and Västmanland. In Region Sörmland, the emergency center is part of the ambulance organization.

Your Responsibilities

Work as a nurse/specialist nurse in an ambulance, together in a team with an ambulance care provider or another nurse. You will work with assessments, priorities, treatments, and in some cases, referrals to other levels of care.

Your Competence

We are looking for registered nurses with basic and/or advanced education in pre-hospital care, primarily in pre-hospital or anesthesia nursing, but all further education is meritorious and of interest. At least one year of experience from an emergency medical unit or another equivalent is required. By the summer of 2025, it may be relevant to have other types of resources where you as a nurse with less than one year of experience may be considered.

You should be proactive, solution-focused, and passionate about meeting patients where they are. We place great importance on personal qualities such as clear communication, collaboration, and the ability to create trust. The tasks require you to fully master the Swedish language in both speech and writing and have good knowledge of English. Multilingualism is meritorious. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Employment Requirements

Good physical condition is required as heavy lifting often occurs in the job. The employment process includes physical tests in the form of carrying tests, fitness, and strength, as well as a written certificate of swimming ability of 200 m. You should have good driving experience and a class B driver's license for at least 3 years. Class C/C1 driver's license is desirable but not required.

Employment Type

Vacation substitute employment from 2025-04-14 to 2025-09-30 or by agreement. Day, night, and weekend shifts are included.
