We are looking for an orthoptist for our children's team in Region Sörmland!

About us

The Eye Clinic Sörmland is a regional clinic divided into three locations in Eskilstuna, Katrineholm, and Nyköping. We perform cataract surgeries, outpatient surgeries, anti-VEGF treatments, and monitor patients with various chronic eye diseases. Our eye clinic employs ophthalmic nurses, nurses, nursing assistants, optometrists, orthoptists, medical secretaries, and ophthalmologists.

As an orthoptist with us, you will work in a county-wide children's team with two pediatric ophthalmologists and four orthoptists. The children's team holds regular conferences where the entire team gathers to discuss patient cases and general issues regarding patient care. Participation in orthoptist meetings and pediatric eye meetings across the country is a high priority.

Your tasks

• Examination of children and adults
• Prescription of glasses
• Refraction
• Amblyopia treatment
• Examination and treatment of diplopia issues
• Neuro-ophthalmological examination
• FUS before strabismus surgery.

Your qualifications

You should be a trained orthoptist. Previous experience is an advantage, and we place great value on teamwork and flexibility as we work in a county-wide children's team. We emphasize personal qualities.
