About Us
The psychiatric emergency department is part of the psychiatric clinic at Mälarsjukhuset and collaborates with the clinic's inpatient wards, outpatient clinics, psychosis unit, and other external authorities, etc. The psychiatric emergency department employs licensed nurses, mental health assistants, and medical secretaries. The team has a broad and extensive professional experience.

Your Responsibilities
Telephone counseling, which includes assessing acute psychiatric cases. You will collaborate with our on-call and primary care physician and attend doctor visits at the clinic. General tasks in an emergency department are also included, such as sampling, etc. You will also be part of our mobile team that works to support psychiatric patients and their relatives at home, follow up on previous treatment contacts, assist in temporary crises related to mental illness, etc. The mobile team assesses conditions during home visits in cases that are difficult to assess over the phone or are considered to be of acute serious psychiatric nature. The emergency mission of the department also includes child and adolescent psychiatric cases during on-call hours for young people with more severe mental health problems. The work requires good organizational skills.

Your Qualifications
Licensed nurse with further education in psychiatry or experience in counseling work. Personal qualities such as the ability to take initiative, work independently, and good collaboration skills are highly valued.

Type of Employment
Temporary employment with entry by agreement. The working hours are scheduled day and evening shifts and every other weekend.
