Department Manager - Biltema Skellefteå

Biltema offers a wide range of products for the whole family in the areas of Car/MC, Boat, Leisure, Home, Office/Technology, Construction, Car Care, and Tools. In total, Biltema markets more than 19,000 items. Our vision is to make it economically easier for people to own a car, boat, home, tools, and high-quality leisure products, thereby creating a richer leisure time for everyone. Biltema currently has a total of 161 stores in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland, of which 60 stores are located in Sweden. Biltema is a strong brand in an exciting expansion phase, planning to open around 50 new stores in the Nordic region in the coming years.

What to expect from the position

As a Department Manager, you are responsible for one of the store's departments, such as Car/MC/Car Care, Construction/Tools, or Leisure/Boat/Home/Office/Technology. This means that you are the extended arm of the management team out in the business. The responsibility entails ensuring that the department is always well-organized, sales-oriented, and customer-ready with well-stocked and inviting shelves. You create inspiring seasonal displays, suggest suitable products for end caps and cross-selling. Order and tidiness are among our core values, and in this role, you ensure that signage and directions are clear and correct. You are also responsible for inventory management.

An important part of your role is to motivate and engage your colleagues and share your knowledge about the department's products. Together with your colleagues, you replenish products and coach them to provide Biltema's customers with the best possible service. You are a team player who values close collaboration with other department managers, where you are open to exchanging ideas and experiences. We prefer that you have a special interest in your product areas and prioritize a safe environment for both customers and colleagues.

What we expect from you

We are looking for someone who has worked in retail for a few years and wants to take the next step in sales. You are a dedicated service-oriented person with a focus on the customer. You enjoy taking responsibility, initiative, and have a knack for sales. For you, going the extra mile to achieve results is a given. You also have an eye for effective product displays and placements. Challenges motivate you, and you thrive in a high-paced work environment that seeks new perspectives.

It is important that you have an interest in the product areas you will be responsible for within Biltema's assortment. Therefore, we ask that you specify in your application which area you have knowledge in. Personal suitability will be highly valued, as the role requires you to be communicative in both Swedish and English and have the ability to communicate the goal and the path to your colleagues. Previous leadership experience is also advantageous.
