Specialist in Clinical Physiology at Norrtälje Hospital

We are looking for a specialist in clinical physiology to join our clinical physiology unit at Norrtälje Hospital.

About the position

At the unit, we perform echocardiograms, spirometries, exercise tests, vascular examinations, long-term ECGs, and 24-hour blood pressure monitoring. We also have a sleep section that works on the investigation and treatment of sleep apnea as well as non-invasive ventilation at home. We work systematically with development, continuous improvements, and deviation management. Supervision of students, biomedical analysts, ST doctors, and rotating colleagues will be an important part of your duties. The positions are full-time with working hours from 07:50 to 16:20.

Your tasks will include:

Performing and interpreting clinical physiological examinations
Supervising colleagues in connection with the above examinations
Working systematically with development, improvements, and deviation management
Regularly participating in Equalis quality monitoring and method reviews
Contributing to maintaining high quality and accuracy in diagnostics and patient care

About you

For this position, you need to:

Be a specialist doctor in clinical physiology
Have worked in a clinical physiological department within the last ten years
Have very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing

It is advantageous if you also have:

Competence to perform transesophageal echocardiograms as well as stress echocardiography and ergospirometry
Experience in sleep apnea investigation and treatment
Experience working with TakeCare and Viewpoint
