IT Support Technician Operation

As an IT Support Technician Operation at Fagerhult, the role involves responsibility and authority alongside production to manage and develop production-related IT systems. Together with suppliers, you will set development plans, manage, and support system owners in their daily work. You will participate in project and management meetings with production and get to know the business from the inside out to the customer. You work alongside IT Support daily and participate in its activities such as hardware setup, troubleshooting production-related systems, and maintaining ongoing contact with suppliers.

Your tasks also include, based on application ownership, inventorying current versions, ensuring correct licensing, and maintaining good documentation, as well as a high level of security and functionality. You will be involved in IT Support one day a week with flexibility to cover staff during high workload in consultation with your immediate manager.

Main tasks in concrete form:

• Staff the IT Support Operations function (IT Production)
• Be a project member in specialist areas.
• Register incoming error reports and orders in our case management system.
• Perform troubleshooting and actions on incoming error reports and orders via remote or on-site with users.
• Participate in production project meetings
• Communicate with users and suppliers regarding error reports and orders.
• Actively work with the management of our PC applications
• Installation of PCs and client-related equipment for production.
• Participate in the IT Support function one to two days a week.

Our wish list/Your qualifications

• Post-secondary education in IT
• Good experience with Microsoft applications
• Experience in performing your own installations of IT hardware
• Thorough understanding of the manufacturing industry is an advantage
• Well-articulated in Swedish and English both orally and in writing
• Experience in participating in projects
• Experience in automation processes/flows
