About the client and the role: The client lives alone with his son and needs support in his daily life as well as in the care and assistance of his child. He has a spinal cord injury from a diving accident and is completely paralyzed from the shoulders down, without hand function. The injury has affected his balance, sensation, breathing, and cough reflex.

The assistance is well established and designed to give him a free and independent life together with his son. He is fully involved in his assistance, communicates verbally, and manages his daily life himself.

Your tasks:

• Support the client in his daily life and during activities with his son
  
  
• Assist with transfers and personal care
  
  
• Create a safe and respectful assistance situation
  
  
• Work based on the guiding principles of respect, influence, participation, and adaptation
  
  
• Adjust your presence according to the client's needs – be discreet but always available
  
  

We are looking for someone who:

• Is responsible, attentive, and flexible
  
  
• Has the ability to work closely with the client and his family
  
  
• Has good communication skills and understands the importance of respectful communication
  
  
• Has a driver's license for manual transmission (requirement)
  
  
• Experience in personal assistance is an advantage but not a requirement
