Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions

We work for everyone living here today and in the future. Now we are looking for you who want to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.

Welcome to us

Farsta School is centrally located near Farsta Centrum.

We have students from the local area in grades F-9 as well as students from music classes in grades 4-9. The school has about 1000 students and a high staff density. Farsta School's vision is to be the best school for every student. Our school is a well-functioning municipal school from preschool class up to grade 9. The school's goal is to increase goal fulfillment through investments in language-enhancing methods and to develop the work with accessible learning environments. We are an HBTQI certified school.

Our view of students is based on a strong belief that students develop when given the conditions to succeed. We work systematically to collectively find solutions and create good learning environments for our students. At our large school, there are many opportunities to develop as a teacher and colleague!

Your role

In the lower grades, we now want to start a small teaching group, a so-called special teaching group. We see that some students have difficulty absorbing knowledge and succeeding in the larger context, i.e., their own class. You will be responsible for these students throughout their school day, together with a childcare worker. You will be responsible for their teaching in almost all subjects (except physical education and music). You will maintain close contact with the guardians and you will systematically follow up on their knowledge development.

You will be part of a work team, together with special teachers, SVA teachers, and extra teachers, where you collaborate with colleagues and are an important part of the collegial learning to create new and deepened knowledge.

As a teacher, you are responsible for planning, teaching, documentation, assessment, and evaluation of the class you teach.

Your competence and experience

We are looking for someone who has high expectations for students' goal fulfillment, good pedagogical insight, and is clear and engaged to bring out the best in students. You who apply:

  • are a certified teacher with qualifications in the early years of primary school
  • have many years of documented experience in the teaching profession
  • have experience working with children in need of support (autism spectrum, cognitive challenges, and other NPF diagnoses)

You have a good ability to design teaching in accordance with curricula, subject plans, and current knowledge requirements. You take responsibility for and have insight into students' results and needs and structure and adapt your teaching to create a safe and adequate learning environment. You involve the student in planning and develop the student's ability to learn, both independently and together with others.

You are secure, stable, have self-awareness, and are a clear leader in the classroom. You value and create good conditions for collaboration and establish good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You plan, organize, prioritize, and analyze your lesson structure as well as other tasks included in your role effectively.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

The City of Stockholm works with competency-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's competence and thereby counteracting discrimination.
