Summer Job as Entrance Controller at Vafabmiljö!

Are you service-oriented, responsible, and enjoy working with both people and systems? We are looking for two entrance controllers who want to strengthen our team during the summer at the Recycling unit.

As an entrance controller, you have an important role; you meet our customers and ensure that we receive and handle waste correctly based on quantity and classification. You are the face of the business and an important representative of our brand, combining service and customer interaction with administrative tasks for smooth and efficient handling.

About the Role

As an entrance controller, you are the first contact for our customers at the entrance and exit of the waste facility in Gryta. You are responsible for checking and weighing the submitted waste using digital tools and registering the information in our system.

You work in a team where you rotate between different tasks, such as quality and material checks of incoming waste, and ensuring that it is handled and placed correctly at the facility. Part of your job also involves keeping records and systems updated for smooth weighing.

In addition to your daily tasks, you contribute to improving the quality of entrance control through a professional and service-oriented approach. If necessary, you may also support other projects that the unit is working on.

You will receive training for about two weeks from your experienced colleagues, and the position starts around midsummer.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who enjoys a varied workday and has a genuine interest in service and customer interaction. You are meticulous and can easily adapt when priorities need to be changed.

The role involves many administrative tasks, which requires you to be structured, have good computer skills, and be quick to learn new IT systems. You work independently, solve problems as they arise, and take responsibility for following routines.

As part of our group, you are expected to live and lead by our values: Trustworthy, Caring, and Innovative (TON) and share our commitment to a sustainable society. In this recruitment, great emphasis will be placed on personal abilities.

We see that you have:

  • Completed upper secondary education.
  • Work experience in customer service, administration, or similar.
  • Good computer skills and proficiency in Office 365.
  • Good knowledge of both Swedish and English, spoken and written, as it is used in daily work.
  • Driver's license for manual transmission vehicles.
  • Availability to work throughout the summer period.

It is a plus if you also have:

  • Post-secondary education in environmental technology or a related field.
  • Experience working with waste management or in the recycling industry.

What do you get?

With us, you will have a varied job in a workplace that prioritizes the environment. We care about each other and our work environment.

We want to reflect our customers and society at large, and therefore want to hire people with diverse backgrounds and value the knowledge and experience this brings.

Other important information:

The positions are summer temporary full-time positions located at the Operations Office at Gryta waste facility, Returvägen 20 in Västerås.
