The Challenge

We are looking for a dual role as a C++ developer and system engineer. The focus is on development.

In the role of C++ developer and system engineer, you will belong to ITAB's R&D department and be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications and systems. Your expertise will focus on creating efficient and robust software solutions that meet ITAB's needs and contribute to the development of their technology stack for the next generation of retail products.

As a system engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and be responsible for creating and analyzing system overviews, system architecture, and breaking down product requirements into system requirements.

Working as a system engineer at ITAB means many points of contact. You will support your colleagues with your expertise by communicating with product owners and developers to write technical requirements using industry best practices and proven techniques.

Examples of tasks:

• Develop and maintain new and existing systems and products.
• Develop system architecture designs that meet product requirements, considering factors such as performance, reliability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Lead the implementation of features and functionalities at the system level, collaborating with hardware and software teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Write system requirements at a sufficient level while being easy to understand for stakeholders, testing teams, and development teams.
• Define strategies for how to extract system requirements from product requirements, set up a workflow, and identify the methods and tools ITAB should use to create and maintain system requirements.

We would like you to have the following qualifications:

• Degree in IT/Data/Electronics or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in programming in C++.
• 5 years of relevant work experience.
• English proficiency in both spoken and written form.

Preferred if you have worked in a similar position where you have dealt with requirements management and have an understanding of how to work with requirements. It is also preferred if you speak and write fluent Swedish.
