JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want a meaningful summer job in elderly care (ÄO) or support for people with disabilities (OF) with good opportunities to continue working even after the summer? Are you genuinely interested in supporting and helping other people? Then you might be one of those we are looking for!

We are looking for summer substitutes who can work weeks 25-32 in our areas of operation:

• Home Care
  Areas: Mönsterås, Fliseryd, Blomstermåla, and Ålem. The work involves supporting individuals with various needs in their homes with tasks such as personal care, delegated health care tasks, and service efforts such as laundry, cooking, and social interaction. The work is performed independently while collaborating with a team where you support each other.
• Special Housing/Short-term Housing for the Elderly
  Special accommodations are available in Mönsterås, Fliseryd, and Ålem. The short-term accommodation is located in Mönsterås. Here, elderly individuals live in their own apartments. You will work in a team, and your tasks will include personal care, assistance during meals, delegated health care tasks, and engaging the residents.
• Group Housing, OF
  Location: Mönsterås. Here, several individuals live in their own apartments. You work to provide educational support, care, and services that contribute to a meaningful, safe, and developing life. You are responsible for care and support with personal hygiene, laundry, meals, cleaning, community contacts, and support during leisure activities. Alternative communication methods such as pictures, signs, and symbols may be used.
• Service Housing/Support for Living, OF
  Location: Mönsterås. Here, you provide individuals with support based on their circumstances. The aim is to offer basic security in everyday life where you act as a social support and help individuals structure their daily lives.
• Short-term Housing for Children/Youth/Adults, OF
  Location: Mönsterås. This facility serves children and youth aged 6-18 years and adults over 18. The focus is on social interaction, but there are also care and health care interventions.
• Personal Assistance, OF
  Location: Throughout Mönsterås municipality. The work is independent and includes care, personal hygiene, transfers, cooking, household chores, or leisure activities.
• Employment, OF
  Location: Mönsterås. The activities within social psychiatry have different focuses, from work rehabilitation to social interaction and meaningful activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

To work with us, you need to have a genuine interest in people. You as an applicant need to be engaged, responsible, and treat people with respect. You do not need to know everything; we will provide you with an introduction to work with individuals who need support to manage their daily lives.

It is advantageous if you have completed or are pursuing education in:

• Care and Nursing
• Social Work
• Pedagogy
• Nursing Program

It is also advantageous if you have work experience in our areas of operation. It is required to be able to cycle within home care and support for living, and having a B driver's license is a merit. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities. We also see that you should be able to work irregular hours, which means working both during the day, evenings, and weekends.

It is important that you can communicate in Swedish. You should have the ability to convey and understand instructions and delegations in Swedish, both orally and in writing. For all our summer jobs, you must be at least 18 years old.
