The Role of Nursing Assistant

The work is varied and care-intensive with a fast patient flow and a lot of personal responsibility. You will work with acutely ill patients. Your tasks include, among other things, casting, sampling, EKG examinations, and catheter insertion. Other tasks include prioritizing patients at the emergency department together with a nurse. Some reception work with registration and assessment of patients at the front desk is included in the position.

Your Future Workplace

The Emergency Clinic takes care of, diagnoses, treats, and cares for patients with acute illness and accidents that cannot be handled in primary care. At Ryhov County Hospital in Jönköping, there is an emergency department, an acute care unit, and a medical administrative unit that operates around the clock, every day of the year. We have about 80 employees in the emergency department, handling approximately 55,000 patients annually.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant with a few years of experience in inpatient care. We prefer if you have experience from emergency services.

We believe you have a very good ability to remain calm in acute situations and enjoy variation in your work, as well as quick changes in work pace. In your work, you are self-driven and organize your tasks independently. You thrive in collaboration with colleagues and see it as a natural part of everyday life. As a person, you are self-aware and easily distinguish between personal and professional matters. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

We intend to fill both temporary and permanent positions at 100%. Start date according to agreement. Working hours are scheduled during daytime, evenings, and weekends. If you can start training before the summer and then work over the summer, we see that as a positive.
