Environmental Engineer at Lantmännen Biorefineries

This is what you will do
As an Environmental Engineer at Lantmännen Biorefineries in Norrköping, you will play a key role in ensuring a safe work environment and driving improvements in this area. You will support the operations and line managers in occupational health and safety issues, identify and address risks, and participate in risk assessments, root cause analyses, and change analyses. If necessary, you will conduct training on occupational health and safety issues. You will be responsible for generating and analyzing statistics from our LIA system for reporting in, for example, monthly reports and the safety committee. An important part of the role is to continuously follow up on injuries, incidents, and deviations, as well as to develop routines to meet both internal and external requirements in occupational health and safety. You will be responsible for legal monitoring regarding occupational health and safety and ensuring that these legal requirements are implemented. Furthermore, you will handle regulatory contacts and inspections and ensure that our systematic occupational health and safety work functions effectively. You will drive and improve the LIA system, Chemsoft, and development. In addition, you will participate in and improve the work of the Chemical Group, conduct chemical training, be an internal auditor, and participate in internal and external projects as well as regional networks and industry organizations. In this role, you will report to the QEHS Manager in Norrköping.
What you need to succeed and thrive
You have:
- A university degree or several years of experience in the process industry.
- Extensive experience in occupational health and safety work within the industry.
- Good knowledge of risk management and risk assessments.
- Basic skills in data management.
- The ability to express yourself well in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
It is also advantageous if you have:
- Experience with Seveso legislation.
- Knowledge in fire protection work, ATEX/EX, and handling of flammable goods.

- Organized in your work approach with a good ability to prioritize among different tasks and create your own structure.
- Flexible to find new ways forward in unexpected changes.
- Self-driven with a good ability to push your own work forward.
- Relationship-building with a talent for creating bonds that lay a good foundation for collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.
