We at Saab Aeronautics are now looking for Strategic Purchasers for the Weapon Systems & Software department, where you will play a key role in ensuring that Gripen can carry out its missions.

About the role

As a strategic purchaser within Weapon Systems & Software, you will work with system and software integration for Gripen's weapon systems, cockpit displays, reconnaissance pods, tactical systems, and control systems. You will be responsible for supplier agreements and long-term business relationships, ensuring that the right technical and commercial conditions are in place from early stages.

Your main responsibilities;

Negotiate, develop, and ensure supplier agreements for hardware and software

Collaborate closely with the market and customers from early project phases

Drive supplier teams with operational purchasers, design, quality, and other key personnel

In collaboration with corporate lawyers, ensure that agreements comply with export control and legal guidelines

Keep agreements updated through continuous negotiations and business development

Participate in market monitoring and supplier development, particularly in electronics and software

The position involves international travel.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with several years of experience in strategic purchasing, preferably within the manufacturing industry. You have a good track record of leading negotiations and developing complex agreements in international environments. A technical or economic education from a university or college is seen as a suitable foundation for the role. You have the ability to drive processes forward, manage many contact points, and work strategically with business development.

You will have support from corporate lawyers, but we consider it an advantage if you have a good understanding of legal aspects and export control. To succeed in the role, we also see that you are communicative, business-minded, and thrive in an environment where you can take on significant responsibility. You are fluent in both Swedish and English, in both spoken and written form.
