About the assignment

In this role, you will be responsible for a number of suppliers and work closely with both internal and external stakeholders. The assignment may involve travel within and outside of Sweden in connection with supplier evaluations.

As a strategic buyer, you will:

• Support the business areas' projects and programs with commercial responsibility
• Continuously evaluate the market competitiveness of the supplier portfolio
• Prepare requests for proposals, evaluate bids, negotiate, and create purchase orders
• Negotiate, manage, and further develop supplier agreements
• Develop strategies for the supplier base
• Lead cross-functional teams with a focus on efficiency and cost savings
• Ensure compliance with purchasing strategy, policy, and procedures

Qualifications

✔ Experience in strategic purchasing, preferably within the manufacturing industry

✔ Ability to work in a structured and independent manner in a complex organization

✔ Experience in leading and driving supplier relationships and negotiations

✔ Strong business acumen and a good understanding of market dynamics
