Sfi Teacher, Folkuniversitetet Malmö

Folkuniversitetet operates in collaboration with Eslöv Folkhögskola as the main authority for SFI activities in Malmö, among other places. We are looking for a driven and certified teacher for our evening courses. You wish to work in a team while being self-sufficient. You focus on the development of the participants and take responsibility.

The teaching is based on a common framework within the college, and the groups are very flexible, at Stv3. You can meet our participants with humility and respect, focusing lessons on interaction, mentorship, and guidance. You are collaborative and solution-oriented, share ideas, and appreciate collegial learning while being unpretentious.

The position is initially part-time at 30% or 60%, and you will teach participants in the evenings in central Malmö. It is expected that you can attend meetings during the day.

Qualifications

- You want to work with flexible groups and move away from traditional classroom structures.

- You are a qualified and certified teacher in Swedish as a second language. You feel secure in your role.

- You see digital tools as a natural part of your teaching and can use computers, etc., and are willing to learn new programs.

- You are structured and know how to manage your time and the participants' time to successfully achieve goals, while also meeting deadlines.

Meritorious

- Direct link to a presentation video of yourself lasting about 2 - 3 minutes.

- If you can refer to work experience from intercultural environments, we see this as a positive aspect, as well as volunteer engagement and interest in folk education and societal issues.

- Personal suitability and experience are of great importance to us.

About the position

Initially, the position is a fixed-term employment for 3 months and part-time, 30% or 60%. There are good chances for longer extensions thereafter. Start date by agreement.
