Junior Designer / Planner for Expanding Åhmans in Åhus

Are you a junior/recent graduate problem solver with a genuine interest in technology and design? Do you want to work with products manufactured in Skåne that are exported to customers all over the world? Do you also want to help develop customized solutions, from idea to finished product, in a knowledgeable team with a high ceiling and short decision-making paths? Then you should read on!

At Åhmans in Åhus, you are offered a versatile and developing role in an exciting family business that has been delivering elevators since 1860. Here you will be involved in developing products characterized by quality, experience, and feel. We are now growing and expanding with a role as Designer / Planner.

In your role, you will work closely with the sales and production departments, where your responsibilities include converting customer requests into clear instructions and manufacturing documentation. You may also act as technical support in the sales process. The role is focused on special projects, and you will primarily work in Solidworks and the business system Pyramid.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to designing and developing customer-specific solutions
• Prepare instructions and manufacturing documentation according to customer requests
• Create drawings and specifications for various special projects
• Provide technical support to salespeople as needed

Your Profile:

We are looking for someone with a strong interest and understanding of technology and design. You have a relevant education at the vocational college or engineering level in areas such as mechanical engineering, construction, product development, or similar. You also have good knowledge of CAD software and are fluent in Swedish and English.

To succeed in the role, we believe you thrive in a coordinating role with many contact points and have a sense of structure and order. We also value your collaboration and communication skills, your positive outlook, and your creative approach to problem-solving.
