Manufacturing Engineer - Production

We are looking for a technically skilled and innovation-driven Manufacturing Engineer with a strong focus on production processes and technology. You will be responsible for optimizing existing assembly methods, integrating new technology, and ensuring that production meets the company's quality, cost, and time targets. The role requires technical depth and a willingness to continuously drive improvements in a dynamic production environment.

Main Responsibilities and Tasks:

Verification and Validation of Equipment

Ensure that all production equipment is correctly verified and validated before being handed over to Operations.

Takeover Tests from Supplier

Conduct tests such as FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test) to evaluate and ensure the functionality and quality of equipment before takeover.

Troubleshooting and Optimization

Identify and resolve technical issues within the production process.

Implement improvements to optimize production efficiency.

Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)

Work with FMEA to identify potential failures and their consequences and develop action plans to minimize risks.

Lead Improvement Work on OEE

Be responsible for analyzing and improving OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) to maximize production capacity.

Analysis of Production Data

Perform root cause analyses (Root Cause Analysis) in the event of production deviations and implement corrective actions.

Train operators and maintenance personnel to ensure proper handling and operation of equipment.

Supplier Contacts

Maintain and develop relationships with suppliers to ensure that the right equipment and services are provided.

Qualifications

Relevant education at the college or university level or equivalent work experience, focusing on Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or Mechatronics.

At least 3-5 years of experience working in the manufacturing industry, preferably in a role focused on production, process development, and automation.

  • Experience with SolidWorks, Teamcenter, and/or other CAD/PLM systems, preferably focused on production technical equipment.
  • Design of production technical equipment. Knowledge of pneumatics, sensors, vision, robots, and/or measurement equipment is a plus.
  • Risk assessments, such as P-FMEA.
  • Knowledge of ergonomics, machine safety, and CE directives.
  • Experience in commissioning and validation of production equipment.
  • Experience with cross-functional working methods.

Understanding of material flows and production layout (Facility Layout Design).

Certification or experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methods is an advantage.
