Are you a truly skilled educator who wants to work on pedagogical development alongside your teaching duties? Then you might be the one we are looking for as we seek a lead teacher for Mellanhedsskolan!

Mellanhedsskolan currently has several engaged lead teachers, two of whom work in grades F-3, conducting pedagogical development at the school on behalf of the management team. In close consultation with the school leadership, you will have good opportunities to plan, implement, and evaluate the development initiatives for which you are responsible. Your development initiatives inspire your colleagues and contribute to a higher achievement of goals.

At the same time, the majority of your position involves teaching. You will provide varied, creative, and enjoyable instruction for our students, both individually and in teams. You will find strategies to reach every student and contribute to increased goal achievement. You will plan, assess, evaluate, and develop the educational activities in accordance with the school's governing documents and systematic quality work. The lead teacher works at their workplace but also has a partly municipal/administrative overarching role by spreading good examples.

We offer you an interesting assignment where you can help develop our operations based on the school's commitment plans.

Qualifications

You who apply are a certified teacher for grades F-3 or F-6 in Math/Swe/Sva. To be considered for the lead teacher position, you must be able to document at least four years of well-regarded work after graduation, with teaching experience within one or more positions in the school system. If you have experience mentoring other teachers and driving development processes based on systematic quality work, we see that as an asset. Experience in teaching early mathematics and/or language, reading, and writing development is also considered an asset.

Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work, and with good knowledge and experience, you work effectively with relevant digital tools.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable leading others and showing direction while developing your work and basing your decisions on analysis. At the same time, you are team-focused and attentive to your surroundings. You have a professional approach and work towards good relationships within the school as well as with contacts outside the school.

About the Workplace

Mellanhedsskolan is a large school unit with operations for grades F-9. Mellanheden 1 serves grades F-3 while Mellanheden 2 serves grades 4-9. The school is nicely located near green areas and nature. Students and adults are organized into work teams. Class teachers, leisure teachers, and student assistants work together.
