Planning Engineer for 3rd Helicopter Squadron

About the unit:

The 3rd Helicopter Squadron operates at Blekinge Air Force Wing in Ronneby. We are one of four squadrons and belong to the Helicopter Wing in Linköping. At the squadron in Ronneby, we have about 190 employees. Our unit is housed in modern facilities where the entire squadron is gathered in a common building. Our development and growth provide many opportunities for you as an employee. The squadron's mission is primarily focused on maritime operations, which means close cooperation with the Navy. The squadron is organized into a staff, two helicopter divisions, and a maintenance company. The aircraft systems used at the squadron are the medium-weight helicopter Hkp14 and the light Hkp15.

About the position:

As a planning engineer, you will monitor availability, order maintenance, repair, and modification of complete aircraft. You will provide planning and action support to the squadron to perform preventive maintenance, assist with data analysis from operational monitoring systems, and order heavier maintenance from external maintenance providers. You will participate in the development of technical orders and other publications, act as a support function to the central planning engineer, initiate, prepare, and produce maintenance planning to maintain continued airworthiness of the equipment in use.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant engineering education or experience in managing continued airworthiness or aircraft maintenance
  • Good knowledge of English in both spoken and written form
  • Driving license B, manual transmission

Personal qualities:

The tasks require a high level of accuracy. The position involves collaboration both within and outside your own organization, so you need to be adaptable in cooperation and communication. Good organizational knowledge (FM/FMV/industry) is advantageous in driving many issues. The position requires good physical health. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Meritorious:

  • Education and/or experience within the relevant material system
  • Experience with the Armed Forces' operational monitoring systems (FENIX, PRIO)
  • Experience working with LFL and FM Flight Operator procedures

Other:

The position is a civilian position full-time and will commence according to agreement. The employment is a permanent position that begins with a six-month probationary period.

Salary: Individual salary setting according to the Armed Forces' agreement

Employment in the Armed Forces means that you are subject to military placement.

The Armed Forces Helicopter Wing is a unit with both land and maritime operational focus that can operate in missions in Sweden and internationally.

Helicopter support is in demand by many. For example, for personnel, material, or medical transport, command, reconnaissance, or surveillance missions. The Helicopter Wing often participates in missions and exercises with other units but also as support to society in various crisis situations.

Operating throughout Sweden, the breadth of tasks and the size of the wing with over 950 employees provide a variety of work and opportunities for personal development. The majority of the Helicopter Wing is located in Linköping (Malmen), where we also manage Malmen Airfield and Linköping Garrison, with two large units in Luleå (Kallax) and Ronneby (Kallinge).
