At the Animal Care Center in Sexdrega, we currently have specialists, experienced senior veterinarians, skilled intermediate colleagues, and incredibly ambitious junior colleagues! We are now looking for the next veterinary colleague to join our team!

The Animal Care Center in Sexdrega is in a strong development and expansion phase where we have recently transitioned from primarily advanced small animal care to a 24/7 operation for all animal species. We do not limit our operations; we will continue with both emergency abdominal surgeries and TPLOs on small animals, even though we are now also receiving horses and farm animals, as well as the occasional reptile. We believe you need to be a bit adventurous, find it exciting when different things happen, and that no day is quite like the other. We now need you as a general practitioner who is particularly passionate about farm animals and/or horses, even though the variety with other species is what makes the job perfect!

All operations at our center are conducted according to a schedule where individual adjustments are both possible and desirable so that everyone thrives and work can be combined with all other important aspects of life. We want you to have a life outside of work, to sometimes come in a bit late because your child did something important, or to take time off to travel to a distant place to see something you are interested in. Life should be lived, and we want to be a part of it!

The operational development and management on-site are currently run by an experienced manager (veterinarian) in the industry, together with highly engaged owners and all employees in the business. A local collective agreement is in place with regulated working hours for work during inconvenient hours and good staffing of both veterinary colleagues and nurses at a well-equipped and well-functioning clinic. We provide veterinary care around the clock, year-round for all animal species, with great opportunities for more advanced care when we work together. Some on-call work is included in the position.

We believe that to thrive in this position, you are:

A licensed veterinarian with a few years of experience in the profession, particularly with horses and farm animals, but not afraid of the occasional simpler small animal patient.

Strongly committed to competence and operational development and equally willing to contribute to your own and the clinic's development as well as your colleagues' within your special interests. We believe you are interested in a specific area within veterinary medicine that you would like to develop further. If so, we would love to hear more about it, as we believe that all development benefits our operations.

A person who enjoys working together with colleagues where the right person does the right things, making the clinic efficient, but also sees the charm in going out on farm visits alone in the car with the right thing to listen to on the way and snacks close at hand.

Someone who dares to speak your mind and share your thoughts. How else can we develop?

Swedish veterinary license, previous work experience, and a B driver's license are required for employment.

Start date according to agreement.

Applications should be sent to jobb@djurvardscentralen.se by April 21.
