The Preventive Unit consists of family support, activity guides, dementia coordinators, volunteer coordinators, and meeting points. Our responsibility is to work preventively with the municipality's citizens to reduce involuntary loneliness, provide opportunities for well-being, and increase quality of life. As life expectancy increases, the number of people diagnosed with dementia is expected to double by 2050. By working preventively, the development of dementia symptoms can be delayed. The operation is part of the care and social services sector.

JOB DUTIES
We are looking for someone who wants an exciting and developing job. As a dementia coordinator, you will play a central role in the sector's work for people with dementia. You are part of the preventive work and are an important support for people with dementia and their families. Your role includes providing guidance and training to employees and following research and development in the field of dementia. You will work both operationally and strategically. As a dementia coordinator, you will be part of various networks and collaborate with different organizations and services.
Your main job duties:
- Support people with dementia and their families through advice, information, and conversations.
- Guide and train staff in the field of dementia.
- Participate in preventive work.
- Work on strategic issues related to dementia and be involved in development and improvement work.
- Participate in the pilot implementation of Stjärnmärkt.
- Lead the BPSD work.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a relevant university or college degree with a health care or social focus.
- Has an interest in dementia issues and wants to work to improve the quality of life for people with dementia.
- Is a good communicator and enjoys training and mentoring others.
- Is proactive, self-driven, and has the ability to drive both long-term and concrete projects forward.
You express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish, as this is required in daily work. Specialized knowledge in the field of dementia is an advantage.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
