NU Health Care is part of the Västra Götaland Region and is one of Sweden's larger county hospitals. We are located at NÄL (Norra Älvsborg County Hospital) in Trollhättan and Uddevalla Hospital. The hospital's catchment area includes 280,000 residents. Together, we are about 5,000 employees who work every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare. About the Department

At the Endoscopy Clinic, we perform diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopies and gastroscopies.

Organizationally, we belong to Specialist Medicine, but we also have a close collaboration with ENT, pediatric, and surgical departments. We are located at NÄL, adjacent to the operating room.

We are experts in our field and meet patients of all ages. It is a fun and practical job that also requires great commitment to the patients coming for their examinations. We work as a team with one endoscopist and two assistants in the room. Endoscopic examinations have been highlighted in recent years and can, in some cases, be an alternative to surgery. There is a constant development to perform better diagnostic and therapeutic measures.

Being a Nurse in Endoscopy

Our focus is to be professional in our interactions with patients. We meet them in a vulnerable and often uncomfortable situation, which requires sensitivity to their needs. We place great importance on providing good information about the examinations so that every patient we meet feels safe and seen. As a nurse, you are responsible for documentation as well as administering medication before and during the examination. Inside the room, you will assist the endoscopist.

About You

• You are a licensed nurse.
• You have a holistic view and the ability to plan work so that there is a “flow” in the clinic.
• You enjoy collaborating and see the team as an important part of your work.

Other

Please note that this is a combined position with duty every fourth weekend in Lungavdelning 51.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
