Workplace Description

Engelbrektsskolan is a centrally located primary school with over 1000 students in grades F-9 in Östermalm, Stockholm.

The location, with proximity to both nature and culture as well as good communication, makes the school very attractive.

In grades 4-9, students are offered various specializations, partly in collaboration with different external partners, including a football profile and a specialized mathematics program for grades 7-9.

• Math/Science/Technology specialization in collaboration with, among others, Vetenskapens hus
• Football profile in collaboration with Djurgårdens IF
• Sports specialization in collaboration with Djurgårdens skol IF
• Social Studies specialization in collaboration with, among others, the Swedish Institute of International Affairs and Demokratibygget
• Art-Film-Design specialization in collaboration with the Swedish American stunt school
• Specialized mathematics program for grades 7-9 in collaboration with Danderyds gymnasium

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, and enthusiastic certified teacher in Swedish/Math for grades 4-6. The position is a temporary position for the school year 25/26 with a full-time scope of 100%.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about teaching and places the student at the center. You have a positive and professional attitude, are flexible, have clear leadership in the classroom, and show great commitment and high expectations in your work.

You should have a holistic view of learning and an ability to engage, see, and challenge all students. You should also be a pedagogical cohesive force in the classroom that, through inclusion and individualization, achieves good academic results.

For you, the work around assessment for learning is central; you strive for all students to achieve more than they thought possible, and you are well acquainted with the curriculum and other governing documents. You are interested in school development and following research and development.

You have real knowledge of and experience with successful formative assessment, both written and oral, and are skillfully solution-oriented in utilizing different forms of assessment as part of adapted teaching.

You will be part of a work team where you are expected to collaborate closely with other teachers within the grade and the work team as well as with the school's student health team. Co-planning and assessment together with subject colleagues are part of the daily work.

The position is a vacation service with a scope of 100%. Shared mentorship for 30 students.

Personal suitability is of utmost importance.
