We are looking for a team member who can contribute to our operations with their professionalism, creativity, and inspiration! Viewing the after-school program as an essential part of the school and driving/developing the after-school program's activities in a team is important to us.

Åkerskolan is a K-9 school with approximately 430 students. The school is located in a beautiful environment in the community of Åkers Styckebruk, close to nature and sports facilities. Åkerskolan is an incredibly important part of the local community. We are looking for several licensed teachers for our after-school program who are passionate about pedagogical work and want to help make Åkerskolan the best in the municipality.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of teacher in the after-school program with us, you will plan, implement, follow up, and evaluate the activities according to applicable governing documents and goals. Based on the curriculum and our governing documents, you will create an environment in the after-school program aimed at strengthening our students in both their knowledge development and personal growth. During parts of your position, you will also teach physical education and health.

With us, as a teacher in the after-school program, you will work to create a safe, dynamic, and meaningful learning environment for our students throughout their school day and offer them a meaningful leisure time. This includes encouraging diverse contacts, social community, and strengthening group relationships.

An important part of your assignment is working with the after-school program's and unit's quality work. You want to develop the after-school program's mission, goals, and working methods. You will also work together with the staff in the work team to develop children's influence, participation, and personal responsibility in school and after-school care.

The role may include development and/or team leader responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has/is:

• a licensed primary school teacher with a focus on after-school programs or another education that the employer assesses as equivalent, and your license must include the subject of physical education and health.
• good insight and knowledge of the school's governing documents and can apply them in daily work.
• documented and current experience in similar work.

To succeed in the role, we see that you have good didactic and pedagogical skills. You lead and organize your work to create a good learning environment, contribute new ideas, and want to develop learning throughout the day. You are confident in your pedagogical leadership and can create educational plans both independently and in groups. You build good and trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. Furthermore, you are solution-focused and strive to achieve higher goal fulfillment together with your colleagues.
