Who are you?

Nexer in Västerås is now looking to strengthen the team with more consultants in test automation and test management.

As a tester in test automation

• you will perform automated tests to identify bugs and performance issues.
• you will analyze test results and report problems to the development team.
• you will troubleshoot test scripts and update them when changes occur in the application.
• you will build and optimize integration and build flows and develop the team’s working methods around CI/CD.
• you will have understanding/knowledge of one or more technologies and testing tools such as Jenkins, Selenium, Shell Scripting, or Docker, to name a few.
• you will handle languages such as Python, C#, and/or Java.

As a test manager

• you will plan the testing work, write test plans, and prioritize tasks.
• you will secure resources for the testing assignment and follow up and improve the testing process.
• you will coordinate the testing work and manage team follow-ups.
• you are experienced in leading and being responsible for both larger and smaller testing projects.
• you are familiar with agile methods such as Scrum.

It is a significant plus if you have certification in ISTQB, and it is an additional plus if you have experience working within government agencies.

Fluency in both Swedish and English, spoken and written, is a requirement.

Who are we at Nexer in Västerås?

Nexer in Västerås is in a growth phase and we want to expand! Today, we are a group of 12 consultants with a wide mix of skills in software and hardware development, project management, and SCADA. In 2025, we will focus on bringing in more consultants with experience in Java and other IT competencies, and we hope you are one of them.

The assignments are with our clients operating in both the public and private sectors. Many of our clients in the private sector are building tomorrow's products and are involved in power, defense industry, and automated industry. In the public sector, we have clients all over the country. As a consultant, you will work either on-site with the client, in our own premises, or from home, often in a hybrid combination. You will work independently on the assignment or be part of a team with several colleagues from Nexer.
