We are now looking for a dedicated systems technician with a focus on backup and storage for our team. Our environments are heavily virtualized and are primarily based on VMware, with a strong emphasis on IBM's product portfolio as well as other leading solutions.

Your Responsibilities

In the role of systems technician, you will have primary responsibility for:

• Planning, implementation, and operation of backup and storage solutions.
• Monitoring and optimizing existing systems to ensure high availability and data security.
• Maintenance and development of our virtualized infrastructure.
• Incident management and troubleshooting within backup and storage.
• Documentation and development of routines and processes.
• Collaboration with other departments to understand and meet the needs of the business.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• Post-secondary education in IT or equivalent work experience.
• Experience working with backup solutions, preferably IBM products (e.g., IBM Spectrum Protect or similar).
• Good knowledge of storage systems and their integration in virtualized environments.
• Basic understanding of networks and security principles.
• Ability to document technical systems and processes.

It is advantageous if you have:

• Certifications in backup, storage, or virtualization technologies.
• Experience with other storage and backup solutions.
• Experience working in complex and security-critical IT environments.
• Experience working in a public sector or government agency.
