The opportunity
HVDC is looking for a HSE Manager to work together with us in an international environment with plenty of opportunities. In this role, you will be a core member of the Grid Integration (GI) Valves management team and connected to the HVDC HSE Governance team. GI Valves has 8 factories located and distributed in Sweden, China, India, and Switzerland.
As an HSE Manager, your main responsibilities will be to manage the Health, Safety, and Environmental fields. The focus of the HSE manager is towards the global GI Valves Management team, Line functions managers, and HSE Governance and processes within GI Valves multiple manufacturing plants, R&D, and engineering functions.

How you will make an impact
- Drive and promote a strong HSE culture within management team(s). Support and coach responsible managers and key functions on how to act and what to do
- Conclude and analyze the HSE stakeholder requirements, incident investigations, and audit results on an overall level to see patterns, root causes, risks, and trends within the organization
- Deliver value-added findings, opportunities for improvements, and best practices in a constantly changing and growing environment
- Manage, train, coach, and drive HSE improvements within the organization
- Be part of external and internal audit teams as required. Perform or support internal audits of management systems against the requirements of ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and ISO 50001:2018
- Lead in the performance of special reviews as well as hazards and incident investigations as assigned
Your background
- Background working with health and safety and/or environmental topics, preferably as a manager within a large international company.
- You have a university degree at the bachelor or master’s level, preferably within health and safety, environment, or a related field. We highly value your personality and see that you have a positive, structured, flexible, driven, and pro-active mindset
- You have solid communication and influencing skills to address and build trust with people at different organizational levels
- As you will be part of an international environment, English is a must, both written and spoken
- Knowledge of ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and ISO 50001:2018, experience from law compliance, Safety by design including environmental requirements, and work with the phase-out of chemicals
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
