The Opportunity

Capacitors & Surge Arresters is seeking a Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) specialist for our production in Ludvika to work with us in an international environment with many opportunities. In this role, you will be part of the HSE team dedicated to supporting and driving HSE matters.

As an HSE specialist, your main responsibility will be to improve the external environment and the working environment within the assigned area. Work on improvements in the energy sector and be the contact person for chemicals. Develop work methods that contribute to a safe working environment.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and governing documents.
  • Ensure that local instructions are followed and updated in consultation with responsible managers.
  • Monitor and follow up on HSE training.
  • Support the business in risk assessments, mappings, and other investigations within HSE.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits within HSE.
  • Prepare relevant materials for meetings initiated by management.
  • Actively participate in projects.
  • Evaluate and report HSE performance to promote continuous improvements.
  • Support, guide, and educate the business on HSE issues.
  • Manage accidents and LEK (Learning from Experiences).

Your Background

  • Ability to work both operationally and tactically to achieve strategic goals.
  • Experience in leading, driving, and coordinating matters to success.
  • Excellent ability to prioritize and make informed decisions.
  • Skilled communicator who effectively engages and involves employees.
  • Ability to understand and manage different viewpoints and perspectives of employees.
  • Completed higher education with solid experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Specialized training in occupational health, environment, fire, chemicals, and energy.
  • Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written. Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
