About Us

The Foundation Språkskolan in Upplands Väsby is looking for a licensed Finnish-speaking preschool teacher with experience for the Sweden-Finnish preschool.

Språkskolan's preschool is a Sweden-Finnish preschool and an English preschool under the same roof. A preschool with two language tracks, Finnish and English. The common language among the staff is Swedish.

The Sweden-Finnish preschool is tasked with laying the foundation for the Finnish language before school starts. The preschool consciously works with a language-developing approach. In the Sweden-Finnish preschool, children have the opportunity to learn Finnish in playful ways through games, songs, rhymes, and pictures.

The preschool is centrally located in Smedby in Upplands Väsby and is easily accessible with good transport links. The preschool is nestled in beautiful nature with walking paths and no disturbing traffic. The preschool is a well-established independent school run by the Foundation Språkskolan in Upplands Väsby. Under the same roof, there is also the English preschool and school as well as the Sweden-Finnish school, both with associated leisure homes.

About You

We are looking for an educated, engaged, and responsible preschool teacher for the Sweden-Finnish preschool. The position is a permanent employment of 40 hours/week (100%). The opening hours are between 6:30 AM and 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday, and we want you to be able to both open and close.

We want you to have a preschool teacher education (requirement) and preferably work experience. It is important that you can express yourself very well in both Finnish and Swedish, both orally and in writing. You plan, implement, document, and evaluate educational activities based on the preschool curriculum. You are involved in developing the preschool and actively participate in the systematic quality work.

You collaborate with educators in your department and with staff throughout the preschool. You have a professional attitude and approach towards children, guardians, colleagues, and other stakeholders. You are responsible for collaboration and information to guardians.
