Kristinedalskolan - the place for meetings, learning, and development!

Here, approximately 500 children, youth, and about 100 adults meet daily during the school year to learn from each other, grow, and develop. The school offers great opportunities for cultural exchanges in all forms of creation and meetings with peers and colleagues from other countries than Sweden. At the school, 30 languages are spoken, including Swedish. The Adapted Primary School also conducts its entire operation at Kristinedalskolan.

Kristinedalskolan is a single-story school centrally located in Stenungsund with proximity to nature and various activities. In addition to school activities covering children and youth from preschool to grade 9, after-school care and leisure club activities are also conducted.

Kristinedalskolan's goal is for students and staff to thrive at school. Everyone should feel welcome and be met with respect. The school should be a safe and positive place where it is fun to learn new things.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a licensed special education teacher with a focus on language, writing, and reading development. You will collaborate with all professionals in student health and work closely with the school's two special educators. Your main tasks will be teaching in the school's special education group, together with staff working within the support organization. The support organization also includes a preparatory class. Close collaboration occurs between the different groups. Your tasks will also include collaboration with external parties and with teams within the municipal support organization.

You will provide targeted special pedagogical support to students both individually and in smaller groups. You will assist with knowledge in investigations regarding special support, the development of extra adaptations and action programs, as well as in evaluations of these. You will participate in preventive work to eliminate obstacles and difficulties in various learning environments. You will drive an inclusive approach where students can receive their support within the classroom as much as possible. You will actively participate in the student health team's development of health-promoting initiatives aimed at promoting students' health and goal fulfillment.

Qualifications

You who apply should be a licensed special education teacher with a focus on language, writing, and reading development. Have experience working with children in need of special support. You see the benefits of collaboration and recognize the advantages of working together in a team. You are confident in your professional role and have a good ability to create relationships with teachers, students, and their guardians. You have a good ability and knowledge to adapt the learning environment and develop teaching to meet the needs of the students. You have good analytical skills and can see opportunities at the organizational, group, and individual levels. You are well acquainted with the governing documents for primary school. It is an advantage if you also have qualifications in Swedish as a second language.
