The Role of Educator

The overarching purpose and goal of the role is to enable participants, with the help of individually tailored pedagogical support (IPSU), to become independent and complete an educational initiative with a satisfactory result.

We are now seeking a full-time sign language educator in Eksjö. As an educator, you will support individual participants with disabilities who are undergoing training through the Employment Service. Support is provided in the specific areas where the participant needs assistance, through pedagogical interventions and work with assistive devices. Based on the needs in the educational situation, IPSU is tailored with the right competencies, pedagogical interventions, and assistive devices for each participant. You will work with participants at educational sites, which may be located in various areas. Therefore, travel to different educational sites is required.

In this recruitment, the primary placement is in Eksjö. If you live in a location other than Eksjö, it is possible to combine the position with two to three days of work in Eksjö and the remaining days at a location closer to your residence. In such an arrangement, we will reimburse you for travel to the educational site in Eksjö.

You will be part of a team along with other educators in the nearby area, as well as specialists and coordinators. To thrive in this role, you should feel comfortable working independently with participants, be solution-focused, and flexible. Communication, feedback, and building good relationships with participants, colleagues, customers, and others come naturally to you. We also appreciate an interest in networking.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Documented experience working with individuals with disabilities in an educational setting for at least 1 year.
  • Documented experience working with cognitive assistive devices in an educational setting for at least 1 year.
  • Sign language fluent with several years of experience and knowledge of the deaf/deafblind community. At least 2 years of documented experience communicating with the deaf using sign language for at least 25% of the time.

Work experience must be verified.

Educational Requirements

Relevant education in pedagogy and/or disabilities. Proficient in Swedish language, both spoken and written.

Employment

Full-time permanent position. Start date: By agreement.

Application deadline: April 30, 2025. Please submit your application documents as soon as possible, as we are recruiting on an ongoing basis.

We Offer You

Every employee is equally important to Clustera's success! The staff at Clustera is the organization's most important resource, and it is therefore natural to offer a developing and stimulating role.
