Church Musician with a Heart for Worship and People

Position 60–100% | Rogberga-Öggestorps Parish, Tenhult (Jönköping Municipality)

We are now looking for someone who wants to help create worship services where people can rediscover their church – a place where the tones carry both faith, tradition, and hope.

We are a vibrant rural parish with about 2900 members, where Rogberga Church (dating back to the 12th century), Öggestorps Church, and the chapel in the Church House in Tenhult remind us of generations' faith and life with Christ Jesus.

In our time, we want to continue that story by placing worship at the center and allowing music to explain and enhance that message.

Currently, there is a church choir, two children's choirs, as well as individual music lessons and close cooperation with other children's activities. In Tenhult, there is also an ecumenical collaboration around music, which we would like to build upon.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has good skills in organ and piano, and a heart for leading music in choirs, ensembles, and worship.

• Wants to contribute to worship renewal and musical joy across different age groups.
• 
  
• Thrives in an environment where collaboration, creativity, and faith go hand in hand, along with good coordination skills.
• 
  
• Has a B driver's license, as our churches are located in different places within the parish.
• 
  

Work will take place during worship services every other weekend, as well as during church ceremonies such as baptisms, weddings, and funerals.

Start date by agreement.
