Special Education Teacher at Gnarps School

As a special education teacher, you will be part of the school's student health team alongside the school nurse, school counselor, and special teachers. The student health team is led by the school's principal. The municipality also has a school psychologist and school doctor. We actively work on school development and collegial learning for increased goal fulfillment. We believe that students' well-being is important and that "Students who learn feel good, and students who feel good learn". Promoting and preventive student health is a major focus for us, where student health is the responsibility of the entire school.

Your Mission

As a special education teacher, you are a qualified conversation partner for the principal, working groups, and individual educators in special education matters. You participate in student health meetings (EHM) and are part of the school's student health team (EHT). You conduct investigations regarding the need for special support and assist in the development and follow-up of action programs.

Through guidance, you contribute with in-depth knowledge that helps develop the pedagogical work in the organization. You are updated on new special education research and literature to share with the organization. You make pedagogical interventions in the classroom for and with students, e.g., mapping and observations. You participate in networks with colleagues within the municipality for experience exchange and collegial learning. You collaborate with other actors and institutions, e.g., BUP, HAB.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a degree as a special education teacher.

Meritorious

Previous experience as a special education teacher in primary school is meritorious.

Personal Characteristics

As a person, you are structured and solution-focused. You are clear in your leadership but also have a good ability to create good relationships. Creating positive meetings with students, guardians, and colleagues is important for us and for you. You are a central person in the organization, which requires good social skills and teamwork ability, as well as being positive, flexible, and communicative. You have a professional approach.
