Junior Accountant for a Renowned Financial Company

We are currently seeking a junior accountant for a well-known company in the finance sector. Here you will have the opportunity to develop in accounting and work in an international environment at a state-of-the-art office, with immediate start.

ABOUT THE POSITION

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and international environment at a reputable company in the finance sector. You will be part of a competent and welcoming finance team of a total of 13 people, where you work closely together despite half of the team being in Stockholm and half in Norway.

The company is located in modern and beautiful premises in the heart of Stockholm. This is a consulting assignment that will last until the turn of the year, with some chance of extension. It is important that you are available for work during the summer, especially in July.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will work with traditional accounting, focusing on reconciliations and managing payment flows. The team works in Visma Business, and you will be an important part of ensuring correct transactions and identifying any discrepancies. More specifically, you will among other things:

• Perform reconciliations against the bank and manage incoming payments.
• Match incoming payments in the systems and identify open items.
• Place customers in the correct accounts receivable and manage undefined customers.
• Work with payment files and perform manual reconciliations in case of discrepancies.
• Work with reconciliations of larger transaction volumes against third-party solutions.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

• Has a basic understanding of accounting, accounts receivable, and financial flows, e.g., from an internship alongside your studies.
• Has good system skills and the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new systems. Experience with Visma Business is a plus, but not a requirement.
• Has very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as both languages are used in the position. Knowledge of Norwegian is a plus, but not a requirement.
• Is driven, structured, meticulous, and self-sufficient.

OTHER INFORMATION

• Location: Stockholm. Hybrid work based on the office, where you can work from home about 2 days a week once you have settled into the role (more presence in the office at the beginning).
• Start: Immediately/March/early April.
• Assignment duration: Until the turn of the year with some chance of extension.
• Availability: It is very important that you are available for work during the summer. If you wish to take vacation, it will need to be planned for a week at the beginning or end of the summer.
