In a world facing significant challenges, there is also hope. A shared will to work for a better world for future generations. That will – to make a difference – drives us at RISE. Are you curious, driven, communicative, and meticulous? Help us create the conditions for a sustainable future and safe products!
We are now looking for an engineer in construction technology with experience in fire technology for the role of certification engineer. As a certification engineer, you will play a crucial and central role in ensuring that construction products and building materials meet requirements and regulations. With us, you truly make a difference!
About us At our Certification department, we contribute to the development of the competitiveness of the business sector and new innovations by offering tailored certification solutions that build trust in and provide access to the market. We have a successful certification operation that continues to grow in scope, and therefore we are now looking for more engineers who want to develop together with us in product certification. In return, we offer a meaningful and varied job in a dynamic environment that provides you with great development opportunities, both professionally and personally.
About the role As a certification engineer with us in Product Certification, you will be part of an engaged team of 25 people, consisting of both engineers and administrative staff.
You will work with various certification assignments and technical evaluations of different construction products and building materials, focusing on products that include fire properties. This may include construction materials, insulation, doors, and other construction-related products.
You will have the opportunity to work with the entire chain - from customer inquiries to delivery, a job that includes sales, quotation work, technical evaluations, and participation in the development of specifications and regulations for product assessment. In this way, you help our wide range of customers bring their products to market and contribute to the development of the business sector.
We strive to always deliver the highest quality and collaborate both internally and externally to achieve our goals. In our team and in your work, you will collaborate with your colleagues but also be given significant responsibility and the freedom to plan your work and manage your time. You will also have the opportunity to discover new places in Sweden as travel may occur in the position.
For this position, there is also the possibility to take on a role as an auditor and conduct quality audits related to product certification at our customers. This role involves travel both in Sweden and internationally.
Please note that this position may require a security clearance, either later in the process or in the future.
Location: Borås or Karlskrona
Who are you? We are looking for someone who can work both independently and in a team and has the ability to be proactive and complete your assignments. You are positive, outgoing, and want to create and maintain good customer relationships. You have the ability to keep multiple projects and tasks running simultaneously. As a person, you are structured, meticulous, trustworthy, and comfortable making demands and decisions.
Requirements for this role include a technical university degree in construction technology or equivalent, as well as several years of work experience. This could be from construction, product development, manufacturing industry, or testing and certification operations. Since the work is supported by IT and business systems, familiarity with these is also a requirement. Good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form is required for the role.
It is valuable, but not a requirement, if you have knowledge of testing, standards, regulations, materials science, or similar. Fire technology experience is an advantage. Are we right for each other? At RISE, we embrace diversity and are convinced that diversity contributes to an innovative environment where we together challenge boundaries and develop new knowledge and competence for the future. Here, passionate problem solvers come together to tackle some of the world's most important, and perhaps most fun, challenges. We cannot promise you an easy job, but what we can promise you is a group of engaged colleagues and some really exciting societal challenges to tackle. With us, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference. Welcome to Sweden's entire research institute and innovation partner!
