We are now looking for a cook for Folkasboskolan's school kitchen!

About the Workplace

We in the meal department provide preschools, primary schools, high schools, meal service, and care homes with well-prepared and safe food. We strive to cook as much as possible from scratch and develop the work with modern school meals while maintaining traditional dishes. We work to reduce the climate and environmental impact of food. Our 45 employees work in 12 kitchens throughout Hallsberg municipality. The meal department is a goal-oriented organization with the guest at the center. You work to achieve set goals and contribute to development together with your colleagues.

The Position

We are looking for a cook who is engaged and driven and who can cook from scratch. With us, we work together to create the best meal experience for children in preschool and primary school.

As a person, you find it easy to work with others, but you can also take your own initiatives. Great emphasis is placed on being a service-oriented person and being flexible. You have good communication and organizational skills and a good sense of order.

We also see that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language so that you can communicate with students, guardians, and colleagues both verbally and in writing. The role requires good computer skills as you will be making digital orders and creating menus. We want all our cooks to be able to taste the food that is prepared.

Requirements

• Culinary education through, for example, the Restaurant and Food Program, Kom Vux, high school, or university
• Experience working as a cook
• Driver's license required
• Computer skills
• Competence in special diets

Meritorious

• Nutrition data systems and menu planning
• Good knowledge of vegetarian cooking
• Experience working in public kitchens
