All students have the right to a school that gives them the opportunity to develop according to their own conditions. SPSM operates schools on behalf of the state. We provide students with a learning environment that allows for participation, learning, and development. We offer meaningful, stimulating, and important pedagogical work at our schools.

Hällsboskolan Kungsholmen in Stockholm welcomes students with severe language impairment from grade 2 to grade 10. Our teaching focuses on language and communication. The goal is for students to have the conditions to achieve knowledge goals, be involved and active in various social contexts, and develop as individuals. We offer accommodations for students who cannot commute to school every day.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for teachers qualified to teach Swedish/Natural Science in grades 4-6.

Are you looking for an exciting workplace where there is room to influence? Do you also want to develop support for students with severe language impairment so that they can reach their goals? Then you are one of the teachers we need in our operations.

At Hällsboskolan, we work together and in close collaboration in so-called grade teams led by team leaders. We have an interdisciplinary thematic approach that we believe will benefit our students in their knowledge development.

At Hällsboskolan, all teaching is based on the regulations of special schools and the curriculum of regular or special schools. Teaching, environment, and communication are adapted to each student's needs.

As a teacher with us, you will work with pedagogical mapping, documentation, adaptation of the learning environment, follow-up, and evaluation.

The work with us requires close collaboration with students' guardians, colleagues, and other external actors who are important for students' health and development.

You will also have support from a special educator, IT educator, counselor, psychologist, school nurse, and speech therapist.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a teaching degree for middle school.
• Has good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you:

• Have experience working with students with severe language impairment.
• Have experience working with children and adolescents with neuropsychiatric disorders (NPF).
• Have experience with Total Communication (TAKK).

We place great importance on qualities such as personal maturity, integrity, and the ability to contribute to developing an organization in change.

OTHER

A six-month probationary period applies.

A criminal record check must be presented before employment.
