Pershagenskolan is a K-9 school with 461 students. At Pershagenskolan, in addition to several certified teachers, preschool teachers, and leisure educators, there are also special education teachers, school nurses, career counselors, and a social worker.

During the past school year, we have collaborated with the municipality's Resource Center and Tom tit in mathematics, science subjects, and technology at the school. We will continue this work with a particular focus on a technology profile for grades 4-9. Therefore, we are looking for a teacher in mathematics, natural science subjects, and technology for grades 7-9 to continue our efforts to strengthen competence and quality in teaching. The goal is to broaden and deepen students' subject knowledge in math, science, and technology while also sparking interest in these subject areas as potential future career choices, primarily in technology.

Your responsibilities

You will plan, implement, and evaluate teaching in math, science, and technology for our students in grades 7-9. As a teacher at Pershagenskolan, you will be part of a pedagogical development group where you, together with your colleagues and the school's lead teachers, work on developing methods, pedagogy, and didactics. You will be a mentor in one of our upper secondary grades.

You will be part of the team for grades 7-9. You are expected to have close collaboration with your colleagues as well as with the school's student health team. In addition to collaborating with your colleagues at the school, the math/science/technology teachers at Pershagenskolan have a close collaboration and meet in a joint planning meeting once a week.

Who are you?

As a person, you are motivated by close collaboration and listen and communicate in a constructive manner. You have a good understanding of students' different conditions for acquiring knowledge and communicate clearly. You plan and organize your work effectively.

You are well acquainted with the school's governing documents and have an excellent ability to express yourself in both spoken and written Swedish. You have documented experience in providing quality teaching in math, science, and technology. You are professional in your role, take responsibility, are engaged, motivated, and contribute to the work of continuous improvement. You have good collaboration skills, find it easy to create good relationships, and cooperate with students, guardians, the team, the school's student health team, and school management.

Personal qualities:
- In your pedagogical leadership, you are a clear leader and in the classroom, you have the ability to create a working environment characterized by safety, study peace, trust, and respect.
- You believe that good teaching and good relationships are the most important things we can provide our students.
- You are good at creating and strengthening collaborations internally and externally, as well as building new relationships and nurturing existing ones.

Requirements:
- Degree with teaching certification and eligibility to teach all natural science subjects, mathematics, and technology.
- Documented experience of quality teaching in all natural science subjects, mathematics, and technology.
- An excellent ability to express yourself in both spoken and written Swedish.

Meritorious:

- Experience working with a focus on technology.
- Mentorship training 7.5 credits.

The school is close to Södertälje Syd, within a 10-minute walking distance or a 3-minute bus ride.
