Welcome to us

Solbergaskolan is located in northern Älvsjö, a school with primary education F-6, as well as an adapted primary school, Mockasinen and Broskolan F-9, which has space for about 35 students with various functional variations including multiple disabilities, ASD (autism spectrum), and ID. All students are currently studying according to the curriculum for the adapted primary school, subject areas.

We work in class teams that also include teaching assistants. We are looking for a class teacher, (qualified special teacher).

Your role

We are looking for a QUALIFIED special teacher with a focus on developmental disabilities and EXPERIENCE working in the Adapted Primary School, primarily in subject areas. Student group with ID to varying degrees, within ASD (autism where behavioral problems occur) and/or multiple functional variations. In addition to teaching, you will be responsible for planning, execution, and evaluation, which is developed in collaboration with the team. You are attentive to the students' individual conditions and needs and work to develop measures in teaching. As a class teacher, you will be responsible for 5-6 students and have overall responsibility for their knowledge development. The ability to collaborate in a team with a solution-focused approach is required for the work, and you have experience collaborating with teaching assistants regarding methods and students' teaching based on governing documents. You lead and organize your work so that a safe learning environment is created and have good assessment and adaptation skills. You see collegial learning as a natural starting point for creating new knowledge. Close collaboration with other teaching colleagues exists within the structure and organization of the activity.

Your competence and experience

QUALIFIED Special Teacher with authorization to teach in the Adapted Primary School. You have EXPERIENCE working in an adapted primary school with several different student groups/functional variations. Since we work according to our own established system where documentation is included, it is required that you have a structured, systematic, and organized working method. You are clear, humble, and straightforward in your communication. You are secure, stress-resistant, flexible, and have a good ability to motivate others, both students and teaching assistants. You have a drive to create engagement and participation and take great responsibility in your work. As a special teacher, you lead the teaching and work directly with students in all situations during the school day. Using digital technology as a natural part of teaching is a given. Experience with AAC, as well as experience and knowledge of clear pedagogy and low-arousal responses, is a requirement.
