Registered Nurse/Specialist Nurse for HS-team 6

Jönköping Municipality is a large employer with hundreds of different job roles. We are growing in line with the development of the city with more residents, more housing, and a larger range of services. We are always on the lookout for new talent - employees with diverse backgrounds and experiences, united by the common drive to create a better city to visit, live, work, and reside in.

Are you a registered nurse or specialist nurse with knowledge and interest in mental and intellectual disabilities? Do you want to help develop healthcare in Sweden's ninth largest municipality? Then we have an exciting challenge for you!

Your new job

We are looking for nurses who, with their knowledge and skills, want to help restart health and medical care team 6.

This presents a unique opportunity to shape the team's working methods from the ground up, with the patient's needs in focus.

You will be responsible for health and medical care interventions in service and group homes as well as daily activities for people with mental and intellectual disabilities in Jönköping Municipality. In your role as a nurse, you will make independent medical assessments and treatments. The tasks vary from common interventions to more advanced ones. You will handle both planned and emergency interventions for patients of all ages and collaborate closely with primary and inpatient care to ensure high-quality care.

Documentation, medication management, and training are central parts of your work. You will actively collaborate both internally and externally to achieve continuity, efficiency, quality, and patient safety.

Your qualifications

  • You are a registered nurse. Specialist training in areas such as psychiatry or district nursing is an advantage.
  • Experience from previous work in healthcare and social care, especially with mental and/or intellectual disabilities, is an advantage.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good computer skills.
  • You have good physical mobility as the work takes place in home environments and you need to adapt your working methods based on the existing conditions.

You have a calm and stable demeanor and can meet patients with empathy and attentiveness. You are skilled at communicating with patients, relatives, and colleagues in a clear and respectful manner. You have the ability to adapt to different situations and tasks and handle changes with ease. You are open to new ideas and methods and strive to continuously improve care. As the work is independent, you are good at planning and structuring your own work.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

We offer you

When you start with us, we will agree on an introduction program tailored to your experiences and prior knowledge. We work with a close trust-based leadership, which means you will have the freedom to independently plan and structure your workday.

As an employee with us, you will have access to wellness benefits, paid vacation in your first year of employment, and a generous flexible working hours agreement. The health and medical care function offers relocation assistance for those who are trained nurses and live outside Jönköping County.
