Do you want to join us on the journey to gradually expand child and adolescent health into a complete primary care service for children and young people with mental health issues? We are therefore looking for a licensed psychologist who wants to help prevent and treat mental health problems among children and adolescents! We hope you take the chance, and we look forward to reading your application.

The Role of the Psychologist

As a psychologist, you will work with treatment individually, in groups, and via digital healthcare meetings. You will provide individual advice, support, and treatment to children and young people with mild to moderate mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, stress, psychosomatic issues, and relationship problems. You will collaborate with schools, social services, and other partners when deemed valuable. You will also be involved in continuing to build our digital support program aimed at parents and youth.

Your tasks include mapping the mental health of children and young people. You will make qualified assessments and work further with relevant treatment interventions. As a psychologist, you will also participate in the unit's ongoing and important development work.

Your work, together with our interdisciplinary team, includes collaborating with other child and youth services within the region and municipality. You will also have the opportunity to participate in cross-county process work.

Your Future Workplace

Child and Adolescent Health serves children and young people from preschool to 17 years old with mild to moderate mental health issues. By having a holistic perspective on the child's entire daily life, we can make a significant difference with short, targeted interventions such as individual and group therapy and parental support. We also offer online CBT for youth.

Our team consists of psychologists, social workers, nurses, doctors, occupational therapists, and administrative staff. We work in a team-based manner and are committed to improving our services. We often collaborate with schools and social services. The Child and Adolescent Health in Huskvarna also works closely with corresponding clinics in Nässjö and Värnamo.

Your Profile

We are looking for a licensed psychologist. You should have good knowledge of the mental health of children and young people. We prefer that you have experience in providing support and treatment to children and youth with mental health issues as well as parental support.

To thrive in this role, you should have a good ability to structure, plan, and focus on your work. You have a strong interest in working with children, youth, and their families. You are stable and secure as a person and have a good ability to listen and communicate, as well as being able to understand someone else's perspective or situation. You enjoy giving appropriate advice, understand how others receive information, and have the ability to assess the need for continued contact. We also appreciate innovative thinking in work-related matters.

We place great importance on personal suitability.
