Schedevi Psychiatry is a privately owned family business that has been providing support, round-the-clock care, and housing for adults with mental health variations and comorbidity since 1942.

We offer a wide range of care with personal assistance, social and physical training, as well as support for individual development. We have several well-established operations and are located in Östergötland, Västergötland, and now also in Småland.

About us

In Östhamra, Rydaholm, there are a total of four departments with 32 places. We have launched the first department with ten places and have permission to operate housing according to the Social Services Act. The focus of these places is housing with special services for adults with mental health variations, who need more extensive support than what can be provided in ordinary housing.

The locality of Rydaholm is located in Jönköping County and has good commuting distances to Växjö 32 km, Ljungby 29 km, Alvesta 18 km, and Värnamo 27 km. Östhamra is in close proximity to the train station, which takes only a few minutes to walk.

Job Responsibilities

Your job responsibilities at Östhamra include being the responsible nurse with the usual tasks – but also so much more! Initially, the tasks will largely involve helping to build up the nursing function at Östhamra. Furthermore, the work involves both internal and external contacts with various actors such as municipal caseworkers, rounds and follow-ups with doctors, and with the client's home psychiatric unit. It is also about using your medical knowledge and experience to be an advisory and supportive function in the operation. As a nurse, you have an important role in gathering and conveying a comprehensive picture of the clients, i.e., knowledge about the patient's illness and social circumstances.

As a nurse at Schedevi, you work both independently and in teamwork with, among others, caregivers, support educators, doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, coordinators, and operations managers. Always based on the client's needs but also according to the assignment from the client.

Qualifications

We welcome you who are a licensed nurse. We see it as an advantage if you have previous experience from working in psychiatric operations. We expect you to be confident in your role as a nurse. The work involves a high degree of being able to work independently with your own decision-making. You have a good ethical approach and a professional demeanor both towards clients and colleagues and contribute to an open, learning, and permissive work climate where everyone helps each other and is available to one another.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Additional Information

Travel is required for the position, and access to a company car is available. A wellness allowance of 4000 SEK/year is included. A collective agreement exists.
