We are now looking for a new social worker for our general investigation unit 6, consisting of 12 social workers, two senior social workers, and one unit manager. You will be part of an investigation group with a senior social worker who distributes, leads, and supports you in your authority work.

The unit is part of the BoU Authority department, which consists of a reception unit, two units for children placed in foster homes, and six investigation units, two of which have a special focus on domestic violence and youth at risk of criminality.

Your job responsibilities will include investigating and assessing the needs of children and youth (0-18 years) for support, deciding on and following up on interventions based on risk and protective factors with the support of BBIC, as well as according to applicable legislation SoL and LVU.

Your work will involve meetings and conversations with children, youth, and families, where documentation is an important part. One goal is to increase children's voices and participation, and conversations with children and youth are therefore a central task. Another goal is to reduce the time spent on documentation so that children and families can receive help more quickly, but also to improve social workers' conditions for job satisfaction and recovery. Collaboration with the social services' providers and other partners is also a significant part of the work.

You and your colleagues play an important role for the families we meet, and it is therefore essential that everyone understands the current legislation, that we can and want to collaborate with each other, partners, and other important individuals for the family.

We see introduction, supervision, and further education as a given. Your senior social worker and mentor will be a close support during your introduction.

Your workplace is in pleasant premises at Borstbindaregatan 12 A, where all investigation units and the reception are located in an open office landscape with fixed workplaces. The office is centrally located near Hjalmar Brantingsplatsen with good communication opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS

A degree in social work is required. You need to have knowledge of child development and the relevant legislation in the area. Previous experience in authority work and/or other social work with children and youth is an advantage. You need to have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing. Knowledge of Treserva and a driver's license are also advantageous.
