Temporary Support Staff at Dalarna University

What do we offer?

As a support staff member, you are the university's representative both outwardly and inwardly in the organization, providing service both at the reception and through incoming calls. Our work is a team effort where the group collectively takes responsibility for providing information, referring to others, and answering questions. This means that we work with the entire university in mind, that we all need and have insight into many different parts of our operations, and that we help each other where and when needed. We have a good collaboration with the university's various operations to deliver good service and accessibility for an improved operation.

Your workday as a support staff member

Your main task is to provide service to our national and international students, staff, and visitors in the form of information, administrative work, telephone support, and technical assistance. You are responsible for giving each individual a good reception and excellent service in all communication channels and system support. The role requires a strong customer focus and sensitivity to the various inquiries the university receives, as well as responding to those who contact us in a pleasant, engaged, and professional manner. Understanding and a genuine commitment to those we serve is essential.

In addition to your daily tasks, you will also have the opportunity to influence how we work for students and staff who contact us, both in our premises and via digital meeting places.

You also need to be able to collaborate with others as you will be part of a team where you work independently but in coordination with colleagues, both within and outside the team. The work is very varied, and no day is the same, allowing you to learn about the university's operations and solve the problems that arise, which requires flexibility.

We are looking for someone who has

• completed secondary education
• at least 3 years of work experience in a similar field; experience from the higher education sector is an advantage
• the ability to communicate well in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing
• experience in handling calls in a digital switchboard system is an advantage.

The position

The position is a temporary contract, starting by agreement until 2026-01-23. The position is full-time (100%). Dalarna University operates in two locations. The workplace for this position is Falun, with some work also taking place in Borlänge.
